I'm thinking about building a fully rigid 29'er fixie. One question, could I run it belt drive, or do I need a chain?

I believe you could run either, the difference is in the rear hub. Using a belt would just limit your frame choices and possibly gear options.

The question I'm dying to know is why would you want a fixie MTB?

As much as I am all about the Single Speed, I wouldn't even entertain a fixie. You need some build sugestion let me know.

LMAO! Wasn't expecting that one.

You may try the SS forum on empty beer. Should be some good fixie resources there to answer questions.

To keep the rotating weight down, I was thinking about running tubeless tires with nitrogen, instead of air. I'm afraid that there might be a dangerous interaction between the nitrogen and Stan's -- has anyone tried this combo?
