As many of you know I have had the worse luck with my WI drive side crank arm. One pedal stripped out and now I have a pedal that is perma-stuck. I was hoping to switch the crank set over to my new build but part of me says screw this set and buy something else. WI has been less than helpful and I could spend another $100 on a new arm. That would be my third crank arm. I am thinking of sending both arms to WI with a less than nice letter and see where that gets me.

What would you do in my position, go cheap and buy another or go with something else? If you went w/ somethng else what would you get?

BTW this is for my SS. :bang:

I'd send a letter back to them explaining what happened in as much detail as possible and and nicely as possible and explaining how it's not your fault and that you would hope they remember the customer in this case and that you would like to remain a loyal customer but are having a hard time doing so at this point. That should get you somewhere, I would think. If not time for another crank set from another mfg.

Also remind them about the broad reach of the internet, your one bad experience could influence what you say here, while a good customer service experience from them could bring you to share your great experience with their product and in dealing with them. You tell the 50'ish people that are on here all the time, they in turn tell 1 or 2 of their friends who are shopping for stuff. etc. The numbers add up fast.

Any person/company that is not willing to work with their customers needs to wake up and realize where their paycheck comes from

Pete beat me to it. Plus I already know you like Middleburn as we have talked about them before. It may not blend in with your bling factor but I have been using the new XT's for a while and have nothing but good things to say. Another setup with the bling factor(although it has a proprietary BB) is the Truvativ Noir 1.1's.

I am waiting for my Shimano hookup to email me back, if that doesn't pan put I may just go middleburn. Anyone know the different between the RS7 and RS8?

Found a link for a Middleburn dealer. Wow lots of bling available too. I think the RS7 warranty includes DH, trials, etc. and the RS8 doesn't.

RS8's are milled a bit more for weight loss and strength retention.
