I have been using CB Acids since I got my bike. It is strange getting used to being attached to the mtb, but now it is second nature. A little difficult to clip in when new, but you get out super quick. I am actually thinking about changing out my road bike looks to CB's. So there is my add on for Crank Bros.

Ended up picking up some PD-540's to try. Figured if I liked it I would get decent pedals anyways. Almost the same as the XT's just cheaper.
Tried around the neighborhood and no crashes. :w00t: Not as hard as I thought, though I did set them to the lowest tension. I guess the true test will be the trails. Thanks for all the recommendations and help. Thats why I'm addicted to this site.

Seriously... get the silver spd cleats... they are like 20 bills but worth it starting out....

I went from flats to SPDs and I noticed a improvement climbing...

I get ridiculed for this all the time, but Power Grips are a great way to test out if you like having your shoes attached to the pedals without having to buy pedals and shoes.

I've seen lots of CB pedals come unthreaded, bend the "eggbeater", have bearings self-destruct, snapped spindles, etc. I haven't heard the same amount of malfunctions about any other pedal. Not bashing, just relaying what I've seen.
