Hell with WI, go new, go big, go XT.

As many of you know I have had the worse luck with my WI drive side crank arm. One pedal stripped out and now I have a pedal that is perma-stuck. I was hoping to switch the crank set over to my new build but part of me says screw this set and buy something else. WI has been less than helpful and I could spend another $100 on a new arm. That would be my third crank arm. I am thinking of sending both arms to WI with a less than nice letter and see where that gets me.

What would you do in my position, go cheap and buy another or go with something else? If you went w/ somethng else what would you get?

BTW this is for my SS. :bang:

For a heavy set guy like me, XT will last longer than the big XTR, beside, it is much more affordable too as you know. I see what you are saying though.

I don't have to buy cranks often, but I do now so I went looking for burly but light SS cranks that come in 180mm. I've just ordered some Truvative Stylo 1.1 G "OCT" cranks and suggest you check them out. They're stiff, use a burly bottom bracket design and are light. The "OCT" is the newer, '09 design and the best price I could find was $175 (msrp is 205). They're stock with 32t ring and come in any shade of black you like.

If you're after silver and 175mm, I will have a new set of Isis Bonty's available soon.
