hello

i thought i'd post some pics of the modded centrelock adapters and post mount caliper adapters that i did for a recent weight concious FS bike build.

the centrelock adapters started out as 21g alligator's and are now 10g intended for rear 160mm rotors and 16g for 180mm rotors upfront, lockrings were 11g now 9g.

the magura QM-6 & QM-12 post mount adapters were 19.5g now 17g

machining was done by my father-in-law @ his workshop over in sun valley/north hollywood, i did the rest

not for sale, just done for the fun of it.

Wow, that is amazing. I am sitting here at work trying to earn a living and you are so stuck with a few grams here and there?

You guys must be living at the comfort of mom and dad's home and no worries for bringing bread and butter to the table or just born rich to begin with.

Or maybe I am stuck in a deadend job that is like a struggle everyday.

Besides that, great job man. Is there any way I can drop 25 lbs of my own weight to be a little ligher at 200?

Please advise.

Ali :bang:

thanks Ali

the project hardy cost any money at all, CL adapters were $6 and the PM adapters $7 each, just took some time and patience + skill on my father-in-laws part

wish i was a rich kid also, there's no silver spoon in my mouth, not lived with mum & dad since i was 17 with a dead end life on the dole back in england - that was a very long time ago!

all i can offer is change your diet if you want a healthy long term way of loosing weight, nothing drastic just eat less more often to help speed up your metabolism. to get down from 185 to 158 i gave up dairy and eat meat perhaps once every 2 weeks, i also ride about 80 miles a week (mtn bike).

Cool -- I wish I had a little lathe & mill now to make trick shit! Years ago I had a job on nights at Hughes in Carlsbad, and when it was slow we all used to make all kinds of TIG-welded & machined stuff for our jeeps & motorcycles. The boss just looked the other way. The good old days before GM bought Hughes...sigh.
