Hi Everybody,

Newbie here from National City, San Diego.
My name is eugene.
I've been wanting to do some mountain biking for a few years now.
I have some experience in BMX Riding in high school thru college. Probably a good 10 years of BMX riding.
Me and my buddy decided to do some riding every other weekend.
Were we looking to full suspension MTB. We want to do a little bit of everything. So we need something light and durable.
my height is 5'7 and 175 lbs.
Budget is around $1,000 to $1,500. I could spend a little more maybe.
Any advice in gear and all.
Also we want to try the bikes first, please recommend a great store to look into the bikes you would recommend...

Thanks in advance

I would give you advice, but then you would be riding around with underinflated tires and wheels that roll like Fred Flinstones.
Have Fun!!!

Hey Hey. Welcome Eugene. Who reffered you over here first me or EMFC? My money is on big daddy Los!

To help answer your questions we need answers to a boat load of questions
Where do you ride at?
What kind of riding do you plan on? Exercise? for fun? Adrenaline?

Thats a start. Welcome the site bud, its a little more relaxed / SD style over here. Not as much traffic but more of a family.

We have alot of chula vista members floating around, maybe one of them can pipe up about a place down there that can help you pick the right bike for you

You can get a Felt over at Bike Bling. Go see Kerry and he'll hook you up! I think he was trying to sell a Felt for $1500. There is also a Sette MTB for $999 it has FS. For the amount of $ you are willing to spend you are better off with a Trek/Gary Fisher. They are actually having a special on the 2008 models.

BTW :welcome:

Cool Thanks!!!
