So after experiencing something akin to the beginning of the first Indiana Jones movie…you know, where he is running out of the jungle with the angry tribe shooting and throwing several hundred arrows and spears at him…I decided it was time to make amends and provide an introduction.

Move to SD from Denver area a few months ago. Navy transplant. Since arriving have ridden a fair number of the trails here, Noble Canyon, Cowles Mountain, Los Penasquitos, Daley Ranch, Elfin Forest, La Costa, Black Mountain. Joined SDMBA, love what they do for the local trails. Worked a few of the maintenance days. Note – If you ride ‘em, gotta help maintain ‘em. While they are a great advocacy group, not many organized rides. So that took me in search of another place to find out when and where people are riding. Found the other local forum (won’t mention it), noticed it was many focused a bit further north of here, got redirected here by Los. Made the mistake of trying to sell a bike, prior to introduction (see above). So here I am.

Current Garage:
1999 Kona Hei Hei (Ti Hardtail) – thus the user name
2008 Spot 29er SS (belt drive), Golden built, not a Longboard
2009 Niner Jet9 (did I mention it’s for sale, note opening line)
2002 Redline Monocog
2003 VFR 800 Interceptor

Past Garage:
1990 GT Karakoram K2
1996 Schwinn Homegrown
2006 Yamaha WR250F (see relationship to Niner in ad, again note opening line)

PS – Thought I would make the DT Anniversary Ride, but since it’s National Trails Day, will probably lend a hand to one of the trail maintenance events and ride after. Next time.

Welcome to DT

If you ride ‘em, gotta help maintain ‘em.

By the way, I like your motto above.

:hello:

Glad to have ya! I have finally contributed something besides flapping my lip . woohoo. I was in the same boat as you many moons ago (month and half ) and was frequenting the LA forums wanting something more local to me. Actually doing my first DT ride this weekend at Crestridge.
