Yes, closer results than I would’ve guessed. Mountain bikes always have compromises — you pick the compromise you want. However, I think there’s room for a further option here. The Orbea battery is smaller and lighter, but the motor weighs the same, yet puts out less torque, firmware limited. So I think the motor should come software limited, with a full torque mode available if you want to enable it. And it should have capability to mount a bigger or added battery pack (a number of bikes already offer that). Of course, then the frame & suspension might need to be beefier....and then you lose the big weight advantage...more compromises! |

I was hoping for a couple of other surveys like: 1. Best suspension settings 2. Best tire brand, size, and pressures 3. Best saddle for eBikes 4. Best grips and lever angles Hopefully these questions will be answered by the experts so I can know what is best to purchase |

Dan, The Orbea does have an optional extra batter that slips into water bottle cage spot. It adds another 75% capacity. I think the other difference is Orbea is tauted as 36-37lbs. This is getting back to unpowered bike weights. |

Uhhhh.....how did he climb 300 extra feet and go go 1.2 miles further on the Orbea if he rode the same "track" back to back? |
