I love spicy food and eat plenty of Jalapeno and Serrano chilis till I tried Habanero.

I must admit that Habaneros are among the hottest that I have tried so far, but will be up for a challenge to try this one.

Where is the best place I can find them fresh rather that the dehydrated versions?

Best way is to grow your own, you dont need a lot of space, just good sunlight....I was having the great pepper give-away near the end of this last growing season. I grew Habanero's, Cayenne, Jalapeno, Tabasco, Thai, and Carribean Reds (aka red savina and scotch bonnet). I must have given away hundreds of habaneros this season, it took awhile for the Habanero's to mature his year with the mild summer, but when they finally did mature they went off.
Check out your local farmers markets for fresh peppers..
Next season Im growing the Ghost Chili, Carribean Reds and Thai Chili's only..maybe a Tabasco as well.

Ali..if you do plan on eating a hot chili straight up, please get it on video, have a cup of icecream and milk by your side... for posterity sake of course.

Pete,

I will definetly have it on the video once I find the fresh ghoast pepper, with ice cream and milk nearby.

I have a small Jalapeno and it produces tons of the hot fruit and this year, I will try to do Hapanero's as well.

Do you think Home Depot will carry the plants? I have to give them a try.

on the third vid, the conversation between the 2 girls behind the camera is rad.

1: Go get milk in the lunch line
2: I don't know how and I don't have lunch money
1: Just go to the cafeteria and get milk
2: I can't I'm poor.

I laughed, I cried... no I didn't cry, but she did.

Awesome!!! I love Hot peppers. I graduated from Red Savina's to the Ghost peppers now. I like them in Sauces, not raw. Raw tastes like Vegetables and I don't like Vegetables. I do love my Naga Jolokia Sauces. Pissed off since my Red Savinas got beaten by the Naga Jolokia(Ghost Pepper), and now my Naga Jolokias got beaten by Naga Vipers :x It will be a while before I can get used to the Ghost Peppers before moving on to the Naga VIpers.

We've grown orange, and red savina habaneros for several years, and some of our reds still "volunteer" back in the bed. Those seeds came from Mo Hotta, originally.

Where do you get the ghost pepper seeds? Save me a few peppers, will ya? :D
