This morning, I made the decision to postpone knee surgery and immediately signed up for the Arch ride. It never hurts when I'm pedaling, so I'm good! Pretty sure there are two on DT that have signed up. Anyone else joining the fun-fest? |

My plan was to run race support again. I have some work friends who are also doing the Arch so if you are looking for training/race buddies I can hook that up. |

What is this "training" you speak of? I am happy to hear you'll be cheering us on again! You supply the best treats. |

I'll be out of town on a catamaran in the British Virgin Islands but I'm not into paying that amount of $$ to ride sub-par trails. Now if the ride was in Oregon along the North Umpqua or Oakridge, I might actually get interested. |

Last year being my first time, it felt like an accomplishment, so I figured I'd try and repeat the feeling. Plus, I fell asleep too early last night and missed my 30 second window to enter the Downieville DH race this year. Probably a good thing since it might have actually killed me. |

Oh it's absolutely an accomplishment. More power to you. I've always wanted to do the Whiskey 50 in Prescott but I don't think my backside wants to be on a saddle for 50 miles so some day I'll try the 30. I've never raced in Downieville but it's my favorite place to ride in the Golden State. |

I was thinking of doing the 1/2 but I'm headed to Hurricane/St. George that weekend |

There was a time that saying you were participating in an SDMBA event could get you kicked out of here. This place was wild back then...walk-offs, front yard tussles, Chinese downhills, and the occasional throat punch to permanently disrupt someone's breathing ability.... |

Would they still be climbing single tracks and descending on fire roads? If so, I'm not in. |

It turns out that I don't leave for a vacation until a week later so I may volunteer with my esposa at the finish line. I can't get up at 0500 to assist at the start. |

I'll see you... Twice! I'm working the starting line and again at the Black Mtn aid station. |
