He's wearing tights not only because its sooo Euro metrosexual. But because the chain for the hand crank would leave you at best with a greasy oily mess on yourself, at worst the whole hand crank apparatus is like having a chainsaw attached to the bike spinning way too close to the riders face. It would tough to rail a corner on that thing. Sort of reminds me of the old poster of the toilet with the cranks on it and the toilet paper where the chain should be. |

"Very efficient workout..." "Burns more calories than normal cycling..." Don't these statements contradict each other? If I want to burn more calories on a ride I can just strap on a heavy pack. Sure looks like the front fork is mounted backward - giving it a negative rake. I guess that's done to enable the "easy, lean-initiated steering" but it sure looks unstable to me. |
