I might be in the market for a new road bike. For some reason I feel like metal instead of carbon, but I dont know a lot of the options that are out there. Is there one that you like?

I like this Cinelli, but oh the price.

I have never owned a carbon or ti road frame. I currently own my third steel road frame, and it's awesome! I was surprised by how lite double butted steel could be.
I looked into Ti frames too, and litespeed has quite a few, and you may be able to pick up a complete ti bike for about $1k. I think you will be happy with any of the three materials.

I've got a 650 ti road frame hanging in my garage that I'm considering selling.

Between the two, get Ti. It looks great bare, never rusts, absorbs shock.

Skip metal.... go carbon..

Lighter, stronger, never rusts....

Test rode a Holland Ti such as the one below and I was completely blown away. I wish I have the money to buy one.

I rode a Litespeed for a year fast but you feel every thing. Steel is comfortable.

As I recall, Reynolds 853 has about the same strength-to-weight ratio as titanium. I can't vouch for the ride feel of titanium, but I loved my steel road frames. Rust is really not an issue either if you store your bike indoors and use something like J.P. Weigle Frame Saver to treat the inside of the frame tubes.

Is that a GT? It's got the triple triangle and the faint graphics on the downtube look like "GT" but that looks slicker than any GT I've ever seen*.

Go with the IF . . . .

*Lest you GT lovers think I'm knocking the brand, I'm not. I rode an aluminum GT for a couple of years between steel frames (wrecked a beautiful Bob Jackson made frame and saved my pennies for a couple of years before I bought another steel frame to replace it).

Indeed it is a GT. Its the Edge Ti and comes as frameset only. At ~$2200 its about the same as the steel IF frameset.

I really like the tapered head tube and fork on the GT.

Right now I am leaning toward IF.
