Well, thanks to Ldood's TR the other day, I decided to hit up a trail I haven't ridden in a long time today. I only took a couple pics. When I arrived at the parking lot it was 77 degrees...

I arrived at the parking lot at about 9:20 this morning, got my gear together and began climbing. I don't really keep track of the names of the trails too much out here, but from the parking lot I went up and to the right, and at the first intersection about a mile into it I took another right then a left, and then a right to head up to the water tower, then up to Stanley Peak. What a friggin grunt!!! It's bee quite awhile since I've been up there and hot damn its a grind. I don't think I have ever ridden up this without stopping and weezing, and then some more stopping and weezing. I was as usual sweating buckets.

I then descended Stanley Peak, and headed to I think Coyote Trail, took a right at the intersection, went down that steep sombiatch, rode past the ranch house, kept to the right and did the loop all the way around and back past the rach house and up to my truck. When I arrived back at the parking lot, it was 95 degrees....

It didn't feel too bad though, as there was a slight breeze. But I didn't want to push my luck and thats why I stayed away from Cardiac, Burnt Mt Trail, Bobcat, and Crest Trail.
I rode 10.39 miles with a total elevation gain of 1375ft.

Usually cut my solo rides short when the temp is extreme. Thanks for posting up the TR.

Yeah, I hear on that man. If it was a little cooler I prolly would have done the full tour, but it still wasn't even the hottest time of the day yet when I finished. No big deal, I live to ride another day :)
