Had you ever experience a feeling of riding a new trail but you actually riding the same location and if you change something the whole thing changes? Ok what I mean is today I rode my usual local ride but after starting the same way at one point I rode clockwise instead of following my counter-clockwise loop and that made it feel like riding on a new trail but it wasn't!! I know it doesn't make sense so I just "shut up" and let the pictures do the talking.

File comment: The ride started with the same long downhill "Nut Catcher" but at the end you have to climb it!

Thanks for the pics Jose. Years ago I tried climbing the switchbacks you posted and I thought I was going to cough out my lung, It was tough/technical climb and I had to take a few breaks in between.

I can't see the picture you are refering to but I assume is the one with the switchbacks just before the Tiki Hut, I've only seen one persong clear that tuff climb and it was on my first ride at that trail, it was a girl, in fact the most beautiful girl on a mountain bike I've ever seen, blond hair riding a black Ellsworth, I thought it was a mirage, she flew all the way up and I never saw her again.

Awesome pics Baja. I'm wondering if these shots you've been taking lately are in the early evening? As the lighting seems perfect, its soo nice...shibby!!

Yep, if is a weekday I start riding from my house after 5:00 pm, by the time I start taking picure is somewere between 6 to 7 pm and everything looks "golden" around that time plus is so dry. When I download the pictures in photoshop I click on this "fix it" thingy that I believe makes colors a little brighter.

the ones on the "hidden switchbacks" picture are very easy to ride down but the other ones have lots of loose rock, ruts, waterbars and very tight, just they way we like them :D
