My sister's husband convinced her to get on a bike two years ago. Starting from wobbly, uncertain bike path riding on our moms' old hybrid bike, my sister progressed, bought a road bike, got fit (we rode the Giro d' SD 60 mile route in April), became interested in gravel/dirt riding, and ended up buying a Canyon Grand Canyon a couple of weeks ago.
We rode from Bernardo Rd out to Punta Pintada and back, at Hodges, last week as a first mtb ride. Was a bit too technical (though she took it in stride and embraced the notion of hike a bike), so we rode from the east up to Raptor Ridge this morning.
Super stoked for her.
