Yesterday was the 6th year of this ride and it was just as fun as the very first time and is IMHO the best organized mtb ride in Baja of the few I've done.

It starts inland in Baja's wine country, at a little village of Valle de Guadalupe and the ride takes you across some wineries and ranches, indian reservations, to the town of La Mision and finish at the little beach of La Mision and the Pacific Ocean just north of Ensenada Baja California, 30 miles of mostly fireroad but with a couple of challenging climbs and a ton of fun.

Here is a link for the same ride a couple of years ago but at that time it finished at the town of La Mision instead of the beach, I much rather have the beach:

But first and before the ride my friend Rolando and I had to get some fuel to get ready

The gang, thanks to Arturo(Turiha) for driving us there.

As usual there was a pretty good crowd.

And we start to roll.

The first climb was the warm up of what's to come.

But we had to get some oranges and refill at the first pit stop.

Let the fun begin.

Looking back.

This guy was not only showing his colors but had some loud funky music, pretty old guy

And the views.

We came across water maybe 4 or 5 times.

From the top of second big climb you get rewarded with some amazing views.

After that is mostly downhill and then almost flat to the beach!!

Let the party begin

I'm thinking about going on this ride May 26 this year. Anyone else going or thinking about going?
