Nothing earth-shattering in this post. Just did a few loops of miner's loop at Black Mountain and then to the top of and over to Glider's point and back out on Miner's Loop again. Riding over all the netting down from the top was a strange experience.

Went with my younger son. Had to egg him along on the climbs, but still super nice to ride w/ him. He's 16, so I'm ever fearful he'll get sick of the old man one day. Knock on wood - it hasn't happened yet. Sheee-it, maybe one day, he'll even out-ride me (not that it'd be too hard). I actually look forward to that day strangely enough.

Even after the rain yesterday, I'd say conditions were near perfect. No puddles, no mud. It was our 1st time here. I was really happy with the flowy DH on Miner's Loop. Not technical or tough, just FUN! I need to go back and spend more time there.

I was out there today also with my 15 yr old son. We might have seen you two coming down the switchbacks while you were going up. The trail was perfect and only found a couple of small puddles on the bottom of the fire road and one on Nighthawk.
I went back up for a extra credit lap this afternoon by myself

Ride with them before it's uncool to ride with Dad. So far my two older sons still ride with me and we all have a great time being out together. Enjoy...

Trying to get him to roll down through that trail without thinking he has the dab all the time. He had a habit of putting his feet down all the time. Today was a bit of training run. We were practicing on a couple sections of the trail to build his confidence . We both have to get out more and keep on riding
