Best place to start is a price point, then warranty. Specialized Levo
Many bikes with the same motor and similar battery power so then I would consider the suspension that you like and components.

It’s always going to be the one you already have or the one you really want.

get the one that makes you happy within your price range. Any of the newer ones are pretty nice but it's like a saddle, it's gotta fit you

Harley might post up a rarely seen picture of his bike for your reference. It looks like some red color I think
 :hello:

Ever drank Kool-Aid from a fire hose Tom?

I don't have much advice, except don't listen to Harley. His judgement is clouded by anything colored 'lipstick red'.

Ibis Oso looks sort of badass, but that is a big bike with bigger electrics. Maybe too much. Do you like the idea of a lighter ebike with a smaller battery? Seems more appealing. But I don't know shit about shit when it comes to these things. I may have to delete this post..

c'mon, Chameleon is just your booty call. Your true love is Lipstick Red.

But to the goods; Belizean makes a great point on warranty. Ask him why it's important :D I think Dirtrider also had some issues that were covered by warranty. Motor problems get expensive if the warranty is sub-standard or is expired.

The Kenevo SL (super light), looks awfully good. Or consider one of their smaller travel eMTB's like Levo SL. And as Harley subtlety hinted, the Orbea Wild (or Rise) both seem pretty good (and popular) and at least one of them is pretty light - If I recall corrrectly, about 37 lbs for the latest generation.

Maybe Commencal? Aluminum frames can keep the buy-in lower.

Other eMTB's that could be considerations are Transition Relay (would be top on my short list if I were shopping), and finally Pivot Shuttle SL.

Again, as someone that doesn't know shit about shit when it comes to these, if I were in the market, my hardest looks would probably begin with the Transition Relay and Spesh Kenevo SL, with an Orbea Wild coming in thereafter. Have fun!

I'm watching the ongoing development of the ebikes from the sideline. By the time I hit 75 years old, there should be some fine bikes to consider. In the meantime, I celebrate my 65th (yeah, medicare time) in Feb. Any upgrade/change for me in the near future will be to get off the 27.5" and go 29r. Ride on my friends!

So I guess for me that means Kona Remote 160 or a Pivot Shuttle SL.

Seriously though, some good advice was given. Do you have a price range you want to stick to? Do you have a preferred suspension travel? I would add, do you think you’d be happier with a full power, big battery, maximum range bike, or do you like the idea of the lighter weight ones that feel more like a regular bike? You can get extender batteries or carry a spare for some of the SL ones, but some others don’t have a removable battery. Your decision might also depend on whether you want to ride it around here, or on road trips where you have to consider charging.

An eMTB definitely has more potential for things going wrong that require dealer assistance, so, unlike an Amish bike, I think it could be important to get it through an LBS who can troubleshoot software/firmware, and handle warranty issues with the motor OEM.

Have fun shopping! And if you were just trolling us, well, thanks for the entertainment!
