A 35 year old mountain biker, Shane Gainer, died last weekend while riding alone in Simpson Park. My condolences to his family and friends. We all choose our own level of risk and reward, and many of us do ride alone. Cause of death is not yet known, but it is a reminder that when you do ride alone, it is a good idea to let someone know your plans, and then let them know when you're safely back at your car. He went out for a ride Saturday morning, but wasn't found until Sunday morning. Very sad.
