I'm thinking I'm going to pull the trigger on this bike tomorrow. I have a little nagging voice in the back of my head saying, 'this bike is too much for you. You like to pedal, and it's not going to pedal." On the other hand, I feel like I want something that will give me more confidence to try hitting a few more jumps and drops with some confidence. What do the DT Illuminati have to say about it?

I have never ridden one, but... Out of everything I have read about the Mojo HD, nothing was ever mentioned about pedalling issues. Its supposed to retain its efficient pedaling, all the while kicking some major ass on the downs.
Having ridden with you, I think you would really dig this rig.

Thanks. I think it's just the coil and single chain ring that have me a little concerned. If I were building from scratch, I think I'd probably go w/ a PUSH'd Monarch air shock, and an XO 2x10 drive train. I've never even ridden a coil sprung bike.

Oh well, the price is close to right (relative to brand new), so if I hate it, I can probably get out from under it w/out losing my shirt.

Or, of the price is right you could change out the crank set and maybe the shock and be in good shape. That bike brand new.

I have a '11 Giant Glory and I pedal the hell out of that thing. You should be well off on that bike. Looks sick! It will be a bit squishy though if you compare to whatever you ride right now

I ride the same bike and it pedals really well. You should be able to pick up an RP23 fairly cheap or maybe they still have the stock shock. Single ring up front is easy to fix as well. Luckily it has the Float up front and not the Vanilla which would be much more expensive to fix.

My buddy rides the DHX coil on his HD and kicks my ass all over the climbs BTW.

nice build. sell the RC4 and get a 2012 RP23 to match the fork. I've always been a proponent of running the same kind of suspension types in front and rear. You'll also drop the weight another 1.5 lbs.

Well, it's done. Now I just need to find a F1 pit crew to help setup the suspension. Daunting to say the least.

I'm going to keep what I have for now and see how it goes. I'm about 195-200 lbs suited up, and the spring on the rear shock is 500lb. So, I think I probably would be better suited w/ a 450 lb spring?

That, some new flats and a dropper post and I'm set. Unfortunately, I probably won't have a chance to ride till next Monday. :crying:

:?
the Float is air sprung and the Vanilla is coil sprung...so i dont get your ^ logic.

back to the OP, that is a bad ass bike....and you probably wont regret buying it.
if you need help with the suspension, i can help you set it up rather easily....but first i would do as others have mentioned and replace the rear with a Fox Air shock...it will definitely pedal better.
