Calavera South 40 this past spring. Attachment: I recently jumped a bobcat near the old train depot above Ocotillo that reminded me of this cat. Except the desert cat was twice the weight and the same color as this cat after being used as a chimney brush! Sorry no pics of it. |

You can tell this group lives on a nature preserve. Rolled up on them and then away and they didn't care. |

So this wasn't on a ride, but it's a ghost town here, so here's something. Two juvenile bobcats. The smaller one pranced right by our windows on the patio, and then joined it's sibling down the incline a bit, where this short vid was shot. |

^^^ Very cool. Setting up a game camera might be interesting. Or not. Just being conscious of the opportunity for random delight might be as or more rewarding. |

Attachment: Valley of Fire this afternoon. I drove past and walked back quietly to get a photo from across the highway, so did another guy, but then some a-hole stopped his car right next to them which spooked them, so they fled straight across the highway — towards me. I started walking away but that biggest one at bottom right followed me, challenging me, got pretty damn close, but I didn’t argue and kept backpedaling, didn’t even try to get another photo because I thought I was about to become one of those stupid tourist news items. |

This service of goats has worked the Del Sur area but this was on the north side of Carmel Mountain rd, south of Blk Mt park. I've seen these "kids" working all over that whole area. Pretty effective weed & brush control |
