WTF. My wife and I had a conversation with a young Ukrainian man the other night, who had only been in the US a week. He had just been married and was working in the EU driving a truck when the invasion happened. His dad, in the Ukrainian Air Force, called him and said do not come home. After weeks of negotiating multiple flights through multiple countries, he met up in Spain with his wife who had fled Ukraine separately. They finally got into the US through Mexico. It was clearly a traumatic experience. He was a ride-along trainee with our limo driver, who was himself an immigrant from Turkey, hired by the Moldovan immigrant we met several years ago as a driver, who now owns his own company. At the last minute my daughter couldn’t pick us up, but he came through for us. Their gratitude and appreciation at living in Southern California always reminds us how lucky we are.Love PFC - the originality of the concept, the mission, the quality of the music and video.
