Well, we built out my Nomad C today and now I need some help.

If anyone might be around either PQ or Spring tomorrow who is famliar with a Talas and RP23 I could use a little tutoring and set up help.

My plan is to do a short easy ride to figure out what all the dials and knobs do and get the shock and fork set up. Of course I left my shock pump behind, but I guess I can stop and it one. Unless of couse someone could hook up with me and give some tips.

Lunch and beers on me.

Anyway, if anyone is around please post up.

Thanks.

Theres a bunch of us riding La Costa Trails tomorrow at 9am. Between all of us theres bound to be some folks that can get ya dialed...Many of us currently have a TALAS and an RP23, Ive had mine since early 2008, shouldnt be too hard to get ya set up right.

I did I just brought it home a hour ago. Can't wait to ride it tomorrow.
I rode it up and down the street a couple time, it's sooooo different from my Trance.

It feels like it weighs nothing.

Come show that thing off and give it a good test run. Bring your pump and a tape measure.

Thanks, I just think LaCosta might be a bit more than I want to do for a first ride.

Also, I left the stearer (sp) uncut so I can get and idea about how long to cut it. I'd likely impale myself if I fell. Thats another reason for taking a easy ride tomorrow.

I also need to figure out the adjustments on these new XT brakes and bed the pads in.

I'm going and I'm old with very little downhill skills, I carry a leash and pretend my bike is a dog when I walk the rocks  no ride is too difficult now you have a C Nomad, come on we wont start without you. Dont keep the group waiting.

DWill,

While you're waiting to get experienced DT hands on your bike in person, you can set it up damn close easily.

Your bike should have come with some small paper pamphlets from Fox. Start with the basic pressure setup recommended for your weight, check the sag and adjust if needed, and then move on to the other adjustments. If you're in a hurry, just start with 'em in the middle.

If you didn't get the pamphlets, go to the Fox website here.
