Anyone got some old 26" tires laying around that they dont use? I'll pay for shipping if ya wanna make some room and toss em in a flat rate box up to Idaho. Preferably looking for something in the 26x2.35 or 26x2.4 size. My current Maxxis High Roller is a 2.35 but actually measures out to a 2.15, and i'd like to get something fatter in the rear to match up with my Hans Dampf 2.35 (which is actually closer to a 2.4) up front. Cheers |

Is it impossible to find new 26 inch MTB tires these days? I have not looked for them since moving to 275 back in 2018. |

there's a few choices on amazon for around 50 to 100 bucks (double that if i go to my LBS), but nothing like the selection or prices we enjoyed back when 26" was IT. im just fighting spending 100 bucks on brand new tires for a dying breed of bike. specially since i keep eye bangin all these new 29ers while looking at my wallet |

anybody ever ran these exact tires? https://www.jensonusa.com/Maxxis-Ikon-26-Tire-4 they are a 2.2 width, but i cant remember if Maxxis runs big or small. Ive been running Schwalbes on the Nomad for the past few years and they run true to size if not slightly bigger. looks like a great spring/fall tire for up here though

how about anyone running Maxxis DHFs 2.3s or larger? I havent run a DHF in centuries, so i am hoping for some real time opinions before dropping some greenbacks on tires |

Just checked Jensonusa and there were only 6 tires from Maxxis in 26" and 31 total Saw a Specialized for $26. I've run the Ikon in 27.5 Rear and it's a fast XC tire. I'll never run a Schwalbe tire since every one I used leaked sealant through the side walls and went away quick |

All Maxxis tends to run small in my experience. I usually inflate them to near max pressure and leave them a day / overnight. Seems to help them. 26er tires are tough to find. DHF is OK. at least you know what you are getting. |

welcome. The Icon is a good "high volume" tire. The tread is fairy squared off on wider rims. |
