I think we can all agree that there is always "something" we can upgrade on our bikes.

For me I need to drop some weight in the tire/wheels department (and around my middle). Thinking about going down to a 2.1 DCT from a 2.35 Stick-E and maybe giving NoTubes a try again.

What is your next upgrade?

where do I start?

I'd like to pick up some lighter 29er rims, maybe Bonty racelites, maybe a Fox 29 after that.

I've had my eye on that also. Are there any San Diego Salsa dealers?

Being that I'm in the middle of a build (5 Spot) the list is longer than usual. Upgrading in this order:

-XT cranks
-No Tubes Arches on Hope Pro II hubs
-Formula Oro Bianco hydro discs
-Joplin seatpost
-Fox 15QR TALAS

All this will be coming over the next year, slowly replacing the somewhat budget build I've got on it now (Deore hydros, Truvativ Blaze cranks, CrossLand wheels, '06 32 TALAS).

As for my Yeti and my Niner, there's not really anything left to upgrade. I don't ride my Haro or my road bike enough to justify dropping any coin there.

Salsa is a QBP item. Any shop should be able to get it for you.

By all reports they're very nice bikes!

Pacific Coast Cycles would probably be the most likely to get one on the floor....

I'd be kind of nervous to buy one before trying it out, so if someone had one on the floor to at least do a parking lot test, that would be helpful. Worst case scenario would be to drive up to the OC.

I wish. Realistically? I need to replace my beat-down drivetrain. No upgrades for starving college students.

I have never test road a single bike I have owned. I just wait a while and check out the reviews. I won't be bying it until next summer when I get back from deployment.

You'll still probably have one before I do. My wife said I have to wait for hell to freeze over. :crying:
