Low cut hiking boots...super grip, long lasting, comfy and when its time to Hike-A-Bike I have traction.

Me too, but they're 5.10 Mountain Master shoes -- best of both worlds! The sticky rubber really is unbelievable. We parked our bikes and scrambled around on the boulders at Daley on a drizzly weekend recently and two of my SPD-wearing friends slipped and fell...but no prob in 5.10s. I've been biking in 'em since I switched to platforms about two years ago, cuz I already owned 5.10 climbing & hiking shoes. They're about worn out tho, and I'm picking up some Impacts this weekend.
