Hey my name is dave. I have been away from bikes for about 10 years but now finally getting back into it. Gonna take me awhile to get my legs back under me but I'm working on it. I got myself a Haro Shift R1 for christmas that has been serving me well so far. If I stay with this for the next year i'll be looking at upgrading but we'll see! Hope to see you guys on the trail!

Welcome. A lot of us DT'ers ride Mission Trails and the adjoining trail system to the north of the 52. I'll be sure to look for someone on a Haro (but if I see it's Chuck, I'm heading the other way . . . .)

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Been riding MT cause its close and lots of other people incase I wad it up. Few more weeks and I might feel a little more comfortable meeting up on a ride but at this point I'm so far out of shape its not even funny. Went and checked out Spring Canyon a little bit on Saturday. Pretty fun single tracks. Gonna go explore more when it quits raining.

I'm on a dark red and black haro with a flat grey helmet and I'll probably be bent over gaspng for breath or puking!!! If you see me say whats up! :hello:

Yeah your telling me! The only thing I got going for me is I've been riding my dirt bike for the last 10 years so the two wheeled fundamentals are still there. My only real problem i've had so far is trying to twist the trottle on my mountain bike to get the front tire up over a log at speed. That didn't go well!!! :?

Your problem is that you need to make the exhaust sound also. When I go up steep hills I blip my internal throttle and say BWAAP! BWAAP! BWAAP! like Im blipping the throttle on the dirt bike and it helps me get up the hill. (I sometimes also release some gas pressure out of my exhaust) :domo: Dead serious.
