You are lucky, man. The rider of that Trail 90 probably died a horrible death.

The Jamul Casino Controversy, by comparison, makes the PV Monster seem like My Little Pony...

Another good local legend is Hodgie, the lake Hodges Monster.

Great stuff mongooseboy!
Thanks for posting the link, I wasn't aware of the full history...

Can't decide whether to be gleefully amused at the idea of Hodgee, or mildly irritated that
the scientific and government communities expended so much resource investigating...

At the rate the lake is shrinking, if it's there, it should soon be like a DMM fairy shrimp on an August afternoon.

After riding the exciting fire road last Sunday at DMM, there will be many placing for the fairy shrimp to live. Some of those nicely created tire tracks are over two feet deep.
....and their are worried about bike tires....

You know evdog, I was going to do that but they know about it and I brought it up to them at the last meeting too.

It's funny, too, that scientists have determined that the tires rolling through one vernal pool after another actually help spread genetic material for the shrimp, increasing their survival chances by increasing genetic diversity.

As we all know, several of those vernal pools now protected were initially formed by truck tire ruts.

In the past the shrimps survival and genetic diversity was dependent upon animal footprints through the pools.....now it's SDG&E trucks!

Of course bicycle tires perform no beneficial actions at all.....they only DESTROY the little shrimps!

If given the chance, I'm gonna decline to run my knobbies over the Proctor Valley Monster... just look what he did to that Trail 90!... then, there's been the sheep and cattle mutilations too...

I always assumed the Trail 90 was the monster's bike! He just rode the wheel off the thing.
