I'll be there, god willing. Put a pick aside for me, and save me a big stretch of rocks. I'm good at rock-breaking, and this is as close as I ever want to be to workin' on a chain-gang. Wait...now I'm out, again. And once again, it is work that I have got to do on that day. I really thought that by this stage of my life, work would be optional, and retirement close. Now, due to the vagaries of the economy coupled with a bit of bad luck and several stupid mistakes on my part, I have a new retirement date: Death. I'm very sorry for backing out again. I was looking forward to breakin' rocks. |

No problem and while we all hate work, I understand the need for that income. Without money we cant do the fun things like ride. Sad truth is often work takes so much time we don't have enough spare time to do those fun things. Hang in there. Pick a Saturday, any Saturday.... We will most likely be out there. I had three rain drops fall on my freshly carwashed beater and wanted to check and see if this digfest is still planned? I have to keep my chiropractor on call notice for some weekend repair afterwards  Might........be plus 1 |

I'm still gonna be patient-sitting this Saturday, but I'm shooting for freedom on the 30th. Plus, in spite of paying up my premiums my HMO somehow dropped me for the month of January. Which my insurance advisor tells me means no mountain biking, nothing fun, in essence. Basically, until Feb. 1, I'm a 90-year-old, osteoporotic woman. |
