A white Tacoma was driving south on the SDGE utility road on the east border of CHER today, up towards the church and pad area.

Yeah, I think it was Todd. I whipped a u-turn when I popped out onto the SDGE road just a few hundred yards in front of the truck. Later on I saw him at the dam and he gave a wave and a smile. I think my bright blue jersey couldn’t have been missed.

And so smoothly. Not even a pedal stroke. Just momentum. Kimba should post that video clip.

[edit: and here it is, thanks Mike]

Temporary trail closure
Post Date:05/15/2024 9:16 AM
Starting Monday, May 20, sections of the Lake Loop Trail on the south side of Lake Calavera will be closed while crews perform trail maintenance work. Workers will smooth out and fill in deep grooves caused by erosion from winter storms. The trail is expected to fully reopen early this summer.

Trail maintenance will occur in two phases, shown on the map below.

Phase 1: Starting next week, crews will improve the trail in the area shown in orange.
Phase 2: Workers will begin work on the blue section of the trail when the first phase is complete. This work is expected to start in June.
Lake Loop Trail closure

What to expect

Be on the lookout for trail closure signs.
Please stay off the closed trail sections and use caution around the work area.
When the trail is closed, access around the entire lake will be unavailable.
Work will occur Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The trail will reopen on weekdays after 6 p.m. and remain open on the weekends.
No work is scheduled on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27.
Thank you for your understanding as we work to make the trails safer and more enjoyable.

After 6 pm we’ll need to

Hopefully they leave the keys
on the tractors :hello:

Oh wow, that is south of the Hollybrook ranch property. That road was really washed out when I was up there a few weeks ago.
