Broken kneecap , swollen and bruised muscles . No cycling or hiking and way to much time on my hands to do nothing but get bored. Kinda sucks , kinda hurst .

Wow! That doesn't look fun at all. After the swelling goes down are you having surgery on the knees?

Let me guess, road bike?

Edit: I just read your beer reply. Heal quickly

Bummer. Crashes sneak up on us so unexpectedly. That knee looks like it must have been - still is - painful. About the only consolation I can think of is that it's winter now, so you should be healed up for glorious spring riding. Looking forward to more beer posts in the meantime!

I should have slided , but fell straight down right on the knee and shoulder. When you slide there's more roadrash but less danger of breaking bones.

That knee looks like it's holding an extra pound of fluid and swollen tissue! And that raspberry on your shoulder is strangely heart shaped. :-)

BTW Christ, I've been curious how a guy from Belgium stumbled onto this forum in the dark corners of the web. I'm guessing you met some DT'ers on a visit to the US and the rest became history? Do tell.

Once upon a time.....

It all started back in +/-2008 , with a Intense Tracer frame i bought from a guy (TD64) in Escondido.
Went on a roadtrip with him in 2010 (Daley Ranch on the first day , Intense factory visit on the second day and then on to Prescot , Sedona , Moab and back to Escondido. We also went to Arches , Zion , Bryce and the Grand Canyon.

When i got back home i had some mayor surgery in my shoulder and with all the "free" time i got i started to roam the web , especially looking for more details about San Diego and surroundings. Don't know how i ended up on this forum but i liked it alot and stayed .

There were plans in 2012/2013 to come over again , but it didn't work out .
i do miss San Diego/Escondido and Stone Beers !!!!

I hope i can swing over to their Berlin store that should be openening this year .

And sadly, you didn't get to ride Spring & Oak Canyons . . . maybe next time.
