Gotta jump on the Laguna Etiquette thread
So there i was laboring my fat arse up the RH Monday night.
Going a whole 1 MPH grinding it out and up in the distance i see a fair lady with a old hollow tube backback frame on heading down.
AAAHHHHH i say to self, good excuse to pull over and drink and say high.
I pull over and as she approaches, i smile take my buds out (old school , fine young cannibals) and offer a fine smile and say" what a beautiful day to enjoy a hike"
She looks at me like a pig looking at a dictionary and responds" your helmet wont do you any good on your handlebar" and never missed a stride.
Looking down the trail after her , i noticed the BP had no weight in it.

I wonder who she voted for and thought "self" that person most likely canceled my vote out...

Crazy etiquette
Cheers

Seeing as this is your first post... let me formally welcome you to Dirt Treaders. I'm sure you've had a chance to read the new guy rules..... actually, all you need to know is to bring beer, a bike, and a good attitude... but mainly beer.

:welcome:

Though she may have mistook your greeting as a snide comment or maybe she thought you were making the comparison that riding > hiking, but she does have a point after all. During a ride, the only time you'll find me without my helmet on my noggin is when I'm sitting down taking a break or post crash checking my wounds.

maybe you should have offered the fine young cannibals instead of a fine smile.
