LPQ Report - The Lone Whale

I did my weekly mid-day solo ride of LPQ yesterday. I took a bunch of shots, however this ride is not the most exciting photo-op. Gonna post the pics anyway since I sacrificed many good jumps for the shot! What a pain in the ass

Did you start from the west side? I don't reconized your first couple sets of pictures, on the last post, the downhill handlebar shot is the spot where I left a DNA sampla last time, went over the bar on a night ride :lol:

yeah, I started from west side Sorrento lot, took south side fire road up the canyon, crossed stream at the east crossing directly south of the entrance to the powerline climb, then up and over to tunnels, one shot in tunnels (sorry, too fun to stop), then back along the ridges, I dont know what it's called but the switchbacks down to the pond, hang a right, up the singletrack climb to the new construction, descend all the way back down to the canyon, north side home.

I ate it at that spot (Handlebar shot) too, now I just enter on the left side and let it slowly drag me into the center, by then it lines up with the right side singetrack around the gnarly loose baby heads.

the shits, but i guess the official name is "duck pond trail". most of us call it the shits anyway...

the one that starts at the power line tower and dumps down the section bajacabra was talking about and then ends with the switchy trail to the muck pond.
