After a Monday AM swarm, it's a little slower at work so I figured I'd burn a few to share my stoke from our last ride.
Stoke on good old friends
Stoke on pristine riding on what I now consider my backyard
Stoke on my new (yet again) Carbine and XX1 git-up.

Morning started out "filipino time." 45 minutes later, wheels of different sizes started rolling.
At over 6,000 ft elev, any and all breaks are welcomed by the low landers.
Image

Used the "my wheels are probably too lightweight for this gap jump" excuse. :)

When you have a 26.5 lb shredder and know the trails like the back of your hand, regroup times means lots of time for photo whoring.
Image

My wife, Heather. Hanging tough
Image

Roger, over 60 yrs old and not one single ride ever gets old when riding with this guys and his wife, Nancy. Love them.
Image

Nancy, Roger's wife. From a reconstructive knee surgery, replacement to shredding all day.
Image

One of my best and close buddy back in highschool now is into biking as well. So stoked to reconnect.
Image

The other friend I know besides Jason (endo) with more Intense bikes.
Image

Waiting... on a brand spanking new trail cut.
Image

Nancy coming in hot
Image

One of the many many rest breaks.. it's a social pace afterall. Had to separate all the Intenses. :)
Image

As we lose elevation, the temperature remained pleasant. No wind either.
From this point forward, it's ALL downhill, about a 2,000 elev descent.
Image

14+ miles (shortened due to some riders cramping)
4,250 ft elev loss
400 ft climbing combined
9 riders, no mechanical, no flat
One knee gashed open, lots of road rash type of injuries all from the last descent. :)

Next up, BLT-Noble-ATT combo package.

It could have been an Ellsworth.

Aaron, Amor and anyone else with spine, I really want to put together another ride in Iddy very soon (thinking of the 27th). I'll send an invite out. Plan is to start real early so we can hit both Iddy and Simpson and be done just after lunch.
