Oceanside Ale Works has their Eisboch that you can only get direct from the brewerie. I'm thinking this Friday we should Calaveras or La Costa with some OAW afterwards

they make a couple of small batch special releases like imperial stout. vertical epic is a belgian style. i didn't like it this year, but i've liked every one i've had up till this one. when you come back to sd, you should go to their restaurant. they have it on tap in several vintages.


Fatwhat? took me there after LaCosta this past summer. It was good....all the eye candy you could eat!! Great beer!!! We had a belgian and it came w free glasses. I gave Doug mine since It wouldn't survive the suitcase ride back to RI. I'll have to see if my local beer peveyor has Vertical. Enjoyed a Smoked Porter this evening..it twas sooo good. My wife's cousin has a homebrew that's very similar. I love the taste. It's the perfect beer for cooler weather.
